Voter Turnout
TUT has successfully helped to increase overall student turnout for all three University of Michigan campuses (Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint) by leveraging peer-to-peer engagement and institutional partnerships.
Our data-driven and student-centered approach has made a tangible impact, with UM-A2 student voter turnout increasing from 60.4% in 2016 to 78.1% in 2020—well above the national college average.
UM-Flint has been nationally recognized by @allinvote for having the highest voter turnout among 4-year public universities nationwide in 2022!
UM-Dearborn & UM-A2 have also ranked in the top 10!
Turn Up!
We partner with student organizations, departments, schools, and colleges at UM to encourage turnout among eligible students. We also work with the UMICH Votes Coalition to support the satellite City Clerk Offices on the Ann Arbor Campus.
